Q
what to know if implants would be a choice for me...
Im 21 yrs old. i've had cavities a lot. due to many reasons. most of my teeth currently have fillings or cavities. In my opinion ive had a poor care provider. i have been to the same care provider my whole life. the only place that would take state insurance. I can remember having problems since i was 10. ive had severl rounds of getting mulitable teeth fixed. after he would fill my cavities, i would experiance lots of long term pain. i had to switch on and off with sentive paste before i made it to high school. after getting my mouth under control, i was then carring a child. soon after i was sick withh hodgkins lymphoma. i went through the process to cure this cancer, having minor surgeries, chemo and radiation treatments. everything went smooth. my taste budds changed, and started to drink lots of dark soda. my glan tha producess salyvia was also affected, having constent dry mouth. slowly it started to rebuild. when i was finished with my treatments i had 8 more problem teeth. front right facial broke in two after cleaning and check up. my right facial also needs a root canel, they just made it look good. didnt even fix it the way they should. while trying to get insurance my problems got worse. got three teeth pulled, three filled in. had couple more things to finish, dentist was losing my appiontments somewhere in the mix. by the time i got in i was 21. they didnt suport my state insurance after turning 21, even though i pay a monthly premium. insurance though another company was too much to afford. now 6 months later i have 7 cavities. some new from old at ones speadin. old ones got worse.some cavities r starting at my gumline, growing where my teeth r filled in.couple fillings have decay on the actual filling. i feel like my only real teeth r my bottom front and my top front except for the one that has been repaired and another appering to discolor. i dont want the growing pain any longer. i need to have another one pulled. i just want to end it and start over. i dont see any reason to keepthis pattern up. sorry for the long discription, i figuered to recive good advice i should get detailed.
thank you so verry much for your time

A
Hello. Unfortunately medicaid will not cover dental implant , however we do have CareCredit programs available. It will cost roughly 4500 for the implant, abutment and crown.
Q
I would like to know an estimate price for complete upper& lower
Denture Implant, plus pulling of (2) teeth, all that are left.
I know the game where you need to see me first, I ran my own company for over 25 yrs. So now I am disabled and live in Pahrump. And would like an estime please, or a range. I understand it could go either way until you see me, but this would help me alot. I do have Insurance.
Thanks, Guy

I assume you have only has 2 teeth remaining? If so, you must have something to wear for the missing teeth. It's best to extract the 2 teeth first, then wait for the bone to heal for a few months, and then make the permanent dentures. That will probably cost about $4400. But if you do not have anything to wear and want temporary dentures, then it will be an additional $2400.
Q
I had all of my teeth extracted at the age of 20 yrs old. I am now 64 yrs old. I've beeb wearing dentures all of my life. I had an x-ray done when I needed my denture s repaired. the dentist found that i had severe bone loss and needed surgery right away. He daid it was so bad any slight injury could cause my whole face to fracture. I chose not to believe him. Now after one year my right jaw is hurting and cracks sometime when I chew. I'd like implants someday. Would this be a medical problem for my insurnce company. I have an appointment with your office today for a 3d cat scan. I'm an RN employed by the state of nevada, can I aford you if my insurance does not pay?
A
Hello - you need to come in for exam, we need to determine how severe the bone loss is. I don't think your medical will cover the bone restoration because these are dental procedures. In the past we have been unsuccessful in billing medical. The state of Nevada does cover implants, but the patient only has a yearly max of $1000, that's not a lot when restoring a full mouth.
Q
Dr Harvey Chin recommends that I have implants on all my upper teeth due to bone loss and loose teeth - 10 teeth total. I would like to get a 2nd opinion from Dr. Cha and Dr. Chen.

Q
Molar #30 had a root canal and crown done about 16+ years ago but has had a problem with infection twice the last 4 years. Molar #31 had a crown done over 15 years ago but now has decay under the crown and into the root. My dentist suggests removing both and replacing with implants. I'm in my late 50's, take good care (floss daily, cleanings 3 times year, etc) and want to avoid ever having dentures. I've a lot of reading about implants. How do I insure I find a specialist that is really good and what is the likely cost since I don't carry dental insurance. Thank you.
A
You should come in for a 2nd opinion. If we extract, place implants and crowns, you are looking at about $4500 per tooth.
Q
My upper front five units bridge fell down few weeks ago. Old post broken in one side and the other side had bone lost, can not cement back. I need your opinion to decide I should implant 3 teeth or make a new bridge, I live in Bay Area. My best friend Jane Young Yao, Mother of 姚力文,陳玉書(your schoolmates)refer me to you. I have Medlife and dental care,USA.will they cover any? and how much for the total cost if implant is necessary? Thank you Isabella
A
Hello -
This one will be hard to treatment plan without x-rays. First we need to know the prognosis of the 2 teeth that were holding the bridge. More than likely, since you said one of the posts had broke, and the other has bone loss, those 2 teeth will probably need to be extracted, and you will need to have 5 implants rather than 3 implants. I am not sure if your insurance will cover implants, you will have to call your insurance to find out or we can for you. We are not providers for the insurance you mentioned, Metlife may cover implants, but it all depends on your plan. I am not familiar with Dental Care USA. An approximate cost per implant is about $4500, with out bone grafting and temporaries.

Q
Is the 5 in 1 similar to the all on 4 procedure? If so, what is the price to do this in your office? Thank you.
A
The 5 in 1 is not the same as the all on 4. The all on 4, is 4 implants supporting a denture. 5 in 1 is extraction, bone graft, implant, sinus lift, and immediate temporary crown. The cost is roughly 5000 for the procedure.
